What to Expect?

Group lessons are designed to give you all the knowledge you need to start surfing in a safe and enjoyable way. They can be a great place to fine tune the fundamental skills too.

A 2 hour experience, includes a full education of the equipment you will use and why, 20 – 30 minutes ‘dry land’ instruction on the beach which incorporates a thorough safety brief, followed by at least a full hour in the sea.  All this is with a fully qualified and experienced instructor trained to the highest standard and approved by the British Governing Body.

Private lessons and training can be arranged for the more intermediate and advanced surfers (incl competitive surfing).  To discuss your current ability and find out what is your best option please email us at saltburnsurfschool@hotmail.co.uk

Times & Availability

Lessons can be booked at any time, but will only take place from April to October (inclusive). 

We runs sessions every weekend throughout our season and all availability for groups sessions is detailed on our booking page  see below for link.  Private session must be booked via email. saltburnsurfschool@hotmail.co.uk

Flexibility is our aim and we hope to fit into your schedule so if you don’t see a date that you want get in touch by email.

What if there's no surf?

Lessons may need to be rearranged due to lack of waves or adverse conditions, surfing is a sport that is controlled by mother nature and this is out of our control but we will do our best to rearrange to a convenient day for you. Whilst we hope not to disappoint please try to accept that this is what surfing is all about and when your lesson does go ahead it will be so much more fun!
