Saltburn Surf School Refund and Cancellation Policy

I HAVE BOOKED MY SURFING COURSE OR SURFING LESSON BUT I WOULD LIKE TO CHANGE THE DATES?

No problem, as long as we are given enough time (two weeks minimum) and we have space to change the date of your surfing course or surfing lesson, then we will at no cost change your surfing course or lesson to suit you. There is no charge for first time changes, but after this there is a £15 administration fee per change.

I HAVE TO CANCEL MY SURFING LESSON, WHAT REFUND WILL I GET?

We hope that you would prefer to change the date of your lesson rather than cancel the lesson all together. Just contact us with enough notice and we can do this for you.

If however you do require a refund, it will depend on how much notice we are given. All cancellations must be sent in writing (this can include e-mails) and will be effective on the date which they are received by Saltburn Surf School.

Cancellation charges are payable as follows:

20% booking deposit is non-refundable unless we cancel the lesson (see below).

• Notify us over 60 days before lesson date – 80% of full holiday balance refunded
• Between 31 and 60 days before lesson date – 50% of full holiday balance refunded
• Less than 4 weeks before lesson date – No balance will be refunded

We suggest you contact your Insurance Policy if you have had to cancel your lesson. We are happy to provide proof of cancellation if needed.

I NEED TO CANCEL A SURFING LESSON ONLY?

If you have only booked a surfing lesson, not a full surfing course package the same terms apply as above.

WHAT IF SALTBURN SURF SCHOOL NEEDS TO CHANGE MY LESSON?

In the extremely unlikely event we may need to change, alter or cancel your lesson for good reason. We work in good faith and will strive to find a solution should it become necessary to adapt your booking. We reserve the right to make such changes should they become necessary.

It is important to note that surfing is very much dependant upon weather systems. In the event that the lesson can not go ahead to due lack of surf or dangerous conditions, an alternative date will be offered. All notifications will be given on the day of the lesson if it needs to be rearranged.

No compensation will be paid where the change or cancellation is due to Force Majeure. Force Majeure means unforeseeable and unusual circumstances beyond our control at Saltburn Surf School, the consequences of which could not have been avoided even if all due care had been exercised. Such circumstances or events include (but are not limited to) war or threat of war, riot, civil strife, closure or congestion of airports, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disaster industrial dispute, and unavoidable technical problems with transport, fire and adverse weather conditions.
